Two sundays ago, I partnered with my favorite makeup artist, Erica Nicole. Together we created an in-studio experience to celebrate mothers with a day of motherhood mini sessions. As many of us know firsthand, moms are the cornerstone of support for everyone in their circle, they rock at anything they put their minds too, and live fiercely to see us through to our fullest potentials. Yet, they tend to put themselves last on the list. Our Motherhood Mini sessions were a chance to get them front and center for a day of snuggles, love and beautiful portraits with their greatest inspirations.
While our intent was to celebrate the bond between mothers and their children. We also wanted each mom to walk away with a beautiful photo of herself. Erica effortlessly enhanced the natural beauty of each mama with soft and natural makeup looks. Then, we started off each portrait session with classic mommy and me portraits with a mix of candid moments to highlight the personalities of each family. Then, we let each child explore and play for a bit as I asked mom to sit for a few portraits of herself. I think each mom started off a little shy to sit in front of the camera alone… But with my constant chatter and my gently guiding them through relaxed poses, each woman opened up to reveal some of the most glamourous portraits of the day!
I’d like to thank each of the women for trusting me and sharing a bit of their world with us for our mini sessions. It was a true joy of mine to share a day with you and your little ones!
